中国工程院院士、手外科专家顾玉东建议在上海筹建“手的博物馆”,不仅仅因为上海在断肢再植等手外科手术方面人才辈出、水平在世界上数一数二、博物馆可以展示我国在手外科领域里的巨大成就,更重要的是,可以让参观者通过“手的进化”认识劳动的重大历史意义——手是劳动的产物,是猿进化到人的重要特征(恩格斯语),并通过“手与脑”认识双手活动的现实意义——脑是手的产物,加强双手的实践活动,开发大脑的创造性思维。 令顾玉东院士十分感慨的是,当前学生的课外活动和家教重点都是为孩子“补脑”,从没人想到多多动手是“补脑”的上策。他说到,现在不少独生子女从小就“连草根都不沾”,这样的孩子将如何直面大千世界的各种挑战?其实人类的大脑之所以发达,手的促进作用功不可没,人类的诞生、发展及一切成果无一不是手脑结合的产物。他还提醒大家,暑期长假别忘了动手活动。
