目视航标(Visual aids),亦称视觉航标。顾名思义,它是人们用眼直接观察的标志,不需任何专门的接收装置。它具有设备简单,维护方便,投资小,使用直观的特点而被广泛应用于沿海、港湾和内河航道上,所以是一种重要的基本助航设施。 目视航标有发光与不发光的固定标志和浮动标志,基本类型有灯塔、灯柱、灯船、灯浮和立标、浮标,各以其不同的颜色和形状或顶标,灯光性质即光色、闪光节奏和周期作为识别特征,供航海人员在白天和夜间观察应用。
