建国以来山东省棉花单产起伏变化。相关分析和专家评估表明，单产的起伏变化是综合因素造成的，但就近几年而言，除了自然灾害发生严重之外，棉田转移和投入不足引起棉田素质下降以及耕作制度改革也是重要的原因。品种素质虽不是造成单产下降的直接原因，却是进一步提高单产的重要限制因素。综合分析指出，山东省已具备获得平均单产９００ｋｇ·ｈｍ￣（－２）的实力，通过提高单产发展棉花生产的潜力巨大。
Change of Cotton Yields in Shandong Province after the Founding of the People ’s Republic of China. Correlation analysis and expert evaluation show that the fluctuation of the yield is caused by a combination of factors. However, in recent years, in addition to the serious natural disasters, the cotton field transfer and inadequate investment caused the cotton field to deteriorate and the reform of the farming system is also an important reason. Although the quality of breeds is not the direct cause of the declining yield, it is an important limiting factor for further improving yields.
