在当代文化的“方言热”中,当代女作家的方言写作具有特别的意义:无论是“新海派小说”与“新吴语小说”的泼辣、幽默,还是“新楚语小说”(包括“鄂语小说”和“湘语小说”的热烈、俏皮),都在成功还原了普通话无力表现的特殊地方风味的同时,也为这些女作家的作品增添了市井的烟火气和喧哗氛围,并使这一部分女性文学作品赋有了粗砺品格。因此,对当代女作家方言写作的研究,应该成为当代女性文学研究的重要组成部分。
