在本刊上期有关“南龙岗战斗”一文中提到冀中军区17团已成长为一支具有坚强战斗力的英雄部队。这个团在经历了无比残酷的1942年反“五一大扫荡”作战之后,于同年6月20日奉命向平汉路以西山区转移。此后,这支部队于1943年7月奉调与冀中军区的22团和26团一起进入晋绥军区,与该军区部队并肩作战。就是在晋绥军区期间,17团与其他部队一起又打了一次漂亮的战斗,这就是甄家庄战斗——
