双江县红山生产队是个佤族生产队。这个队的广大贫下中农,在伟大领袖毛主席“备战、备荒、为人民”的伟大战略方针指引下,靠战无不胜的毛泽东思想,自力更生,艰苦奋斗创办胶埸。六年来,共建紫胶园900多亩,全队410人,每人平均有紫胶园两亩多,现在部分胶园已经投产,为国家提供了原胶21,000多斤,支援兄弟省种胶12,193斤。在充分利用野生寄主资源的同时,开展群众性的科学实验,坚持以胶为主,胶粮间作,多种经营。1970年,除生产原胶7,000多斤外,还生产了粮食22,602斤。1971年虽然遭受严重干旱,雨季比往年推迟20多天,造成胶虫大量死亡,仍产胶6,000多斤,有力地支援了社会主义建设,巩固和发展了集体经济。他们的具体做法是:
