米尔顿·弗里德曼(1912-2006),美国经济学家,货币学派的代表人物,因在消费分析、货币供应理论及历史、稳定政策复杂性等范畴的贡献,获得1976年诺贝尔经济学奖。他提倡自由市场经济的优点,反对政府的干预;主张将政府的角色最小化以让自由市场运作,以此维持政治和社会自由。对于自由经济,他的名言是“构成大多数反自由市场理论的,其实是对自由本身的不信任。”“市场变得自由,最终也会为人民带来自由。”他深信,经济自由最终将导致政治自由。
Milton Friedman (1912-2006), a representative of the American economists and currency schools, won the Nobel Economic Prize in 1976 for his contribution in the fields of consumption analysis, money supply theory and history, and stability policy complexity, Study Award.
