无字漫画其实是属于漫画语言中非常早期的一种创作形式,有着非常久远的创作历史。最初期无字漫画产生于西方的报纸杂志之上,因为无字漫画这种形式能够将新闻实事信息传递给社会上那些文化水平不高的读者手中,借助没有文字辅助就可以传递信息的图像来表达漫画创作者的声音。因此,无字漫画通过一些标准化的图像密码来传递作者要表达的内容,这样就给无字漫画作为一种图像语言赋予了更多既简单又具有象征的意义,也正是这种跨越国家文字限制的图像语言,挣脱了文字的束缚,才让漫画有了更广泛的传播范围。在当今社会也因互联网领域下漫画图像的便捷传播途径,我们迎来了新一轮的读图时代。
