在中学,语文是学生必修的最基础的一门学科。初中语文课堂的开设更多的是以拓展学生的沟通交流能力,同时提高学生的文学修养和自身素质为目标的。在传统初中语文教学的过程中,教师扮演的是主导者的角色,初中语文课堂是一种“填鸭式”固化的教学模式,这样的教学方式使学生出现对语文学习兴趣不高,甚至是厌学的现象,严重影响了初中语文课堂的教学质量,使初中语文课堂达不到应有的效果。在新课标倡导下,初中语文教学模式进行了较大的转变,以苏教版为例。
