这次“伟人足迹”写生活动的特点在于,大家围绕着一个共同的主题画写生,都用油画但不限定风格。从2009年元月开始,二十几位油画家历经雪雨风霜,纵横七省三市,循着毛泽东等红军足迹现场寻访,现场创作,半年时间里完成了近二百件作品。回顾这段经历,最难忘的是,作为集体一面作画一面倾心交流,每天晚上带着写生的风尘回来聚在一起,大家有谈不完的话。眼睛里闪着光,对历史的追寻,对人生价值的求索,对艺术的渴望。是真诚的交往,而不是精明的算计,沟通了彼此的感情,温暖了大家的心灵,于是,写生的过程也是谈心的过程,是作品的精神主题形成发展的过程,也是每位参与者受益的过程,由此,才有画面,才有语言,才有那些“不是行货”的作品。一路谈心涉及很多,与写生有关的可归纳为:
