One of the important contributions of Mao Zedong in the period of the new-democratic revolution was to take the lead in independently exploring and leading the entire party and to create a new road of Chinese democratic revolution in armed enclaves in cities and armed seizure of power. The opening up of this revolutionary road with Chinese characteristics is a great undertaking in the history of international communist movement and a new development of Marxism-Leninism.
