如果说,EDA行业是美国的特产,这并不是过甚其词。这个行业的利润,有一大半是美国的企业争得的,但是,EDA工具的市场,却广及全世界。这一行业的利润,有50%以上是来自美国之外的客户。EDA正在成为电子产品制造厂家设计战略中的重要一环,随之会产生一个疑问:在美国以外的地区扩展EDA,对于EDA行业来说,是否重要?例如,日本开发自己的EDA工业,是否合适?欧洲呢?在回答这些问题之前,让我们先来看一看,EDA行业为什么没有扩展到那砦地区去?
If you say that the EDA industry is a special product of the United States, this is not an overstatement. More than half of the profits of this industry are won by U.S. companies. However, the market for EDA tools is widespread across the world. More than 50% of the profits of this industry come from customers outside the United States. EDA is becoming an important part of the design strategy for electronic product manufacturers, and it will raise doubts: Is it important for the EDA industry to expand EDA outside the U.S. industry?
