杨树木是我国最重要的用材林树种之一,而用材林经营管理的实质在于通过人为的控制使之生产出数量多、质量优的木材,这无疑要求对林分的动态过程需有个清楚的了解,采用常规的试验方法研究森林生长规律和经营管理效果,不仅试验的周期长,而且耗费大量的人力、财力,正是由于森林经营的功能多样性、动态性和周期性等特点,通过构建虚拟森林环境来模拟森林的自然生长和经营管理的过程和结果具有重要的科学意义,树木的模拟是计算机图形学在林学可视化领域应用的核心问题,它主要是应用计算机图形学相关理论与研究方法来模拟和可视化表达树木的形态结构及其生长过程,现根据树木构筑的理论,结合实验区实测数据,提出基于形态结构特征的单树杉木计算机建模方法;并基于面向福建省地域特征的杉木林生长模型和经营管理模型,对在三维虚拟森林环境中模拟杉木林分自然生长和人工经营措施的原理与技术方法进行了探索性尝试。
