Jidong Folk Songs has rich local color and strong flavor of the times, profoundly reflects the social reality and daily life in Jidong. It is rich in content, unique in style and prominent in artistic charm. It has universal significance to the Han folk songs in northern China. Liu Rongde, a famous Jidong folk singer, composer and theorist, devoted his life to the collation, creation and inheritance of Jidong folk songs, making an important contribution to the development of Jidong folk songs.
