作为时代的代言人,英国戏剧家威廉·莎士比亚的许多剧作像一面镜子,真实反映了当时妇女的本质和生活。一些女性主义者认为莎士比亚的作品是最具父权特征的文本,因此其作品倍受女性主义关注。西方女性主义者对莎士比亚的《威尼斯商人》中二位女性的婚姻引起的不同关注,一方面暴露出当代西方女性主义的局限性;另一方面也说明了第三世界女性主义的发展。然而,女性主义是世界的,因此,多元化是女性主义不可避免的发展趋势。
As the spokesman of the times, many dramas by William Shakespeare, a British dramatist, are a mirror that truly reflects the nature and life of the women at that time. Some feminists think that Shakespeare’s works are the most patriarchal texts and thus their works have drawn much attention from feminists. Western feminists’ different attention to the marriage of two women in William’s Merchant of Shakespeare not only exposed the limitations of contemporary western feminism but also explained the development of feminism in the third world. However, feminism is the world, therefore, pluralism is an inevitable trend of development of feminism.
