晚年杜甫拈出“风流儒雅”的宋玉传统,可谓深富意味的诗学归纳。虽然风流与儒雅的叠加使用始于六朝晚期,论及文士的情感抒发和精神自由,自当上溯屈宋。从宋玉的“才士不平”和赋文表演开始,历经扬雄的“反骚”创作和早期文本中的渔父叙述,中古才士始终以节制和内省的翰藻才章,回应和扩充着中国文学的冷静照察。
