Objective To study the relationship between sperm morphology and sperm-neutral α-glucosidase and sperm seminal elastase in male infertility patients. Methods 466 male infertility patients were divided into 5 groups and 8 groups according to their age and normal percentage of sperm respectively. Diffuse Quik staining, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) Detection of glucosidase and seminal elastase. Results There was no significant difference in the percentage of normal spermatozoa and the concentration of elastic plasminogen in each age group (P> 0.05). The activity of sperm a-glucosidase was significantly decreased in the 41-50 age group, There was no significant difference in the activities of sperm between neutral α-glucosidase (P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in age among 8 groups with different normal percentages of sperm, but there was no significant difference in the concentration of elastase between the two groups (P> 0.05). The percentage of sperm normal morphology was higher than 7.1% There was no significant difference in the activity of glucosidase among the three groups (P <0.01). The activities of the other three groups of neutral α-glucosidase were significantly different from those of the other groups (P <0.01). Conclusion The percentage of normal morphology of sperm is not influenced by age and serum elastase concentration, but decreases with the decrease of activity of sperm a-glucosidase. The significant decrease of sperm a-glucosidase activity may be the result of sperm Independent factors of morphological deformity.
