洮砚洗砚,是我国三大名砚之一,与广东的端砚、江西的歙砚齐名,有“洮州石贵双赵璧”、“端州歙州无此色”之誉。洮砚,是由洮石雕制而成。洮石学名辉绿岩,属水成岩的一种。其质坚而细,莹润如玉,扣之无声,呵之出水珠。用以制砚,贮水不耗,历寒不冰,涩不留笔,滑不拒墨。具有发墨快,研墨细,不损毫,挥洒起来,浓淡相宜,得心应手等特点。洮砚色泽雅丽,主要以绿色为主,在诸多的洮石中,尤以“黄标绿漪石”最为名贵。洮石产于我省甘南藏族自治州卓尼县洮砚乡纳日村。采掘砚石的矿坑,便分布在这里的背倚高山、面对洮河的喇嘛崖、水泉崖、扎甘崖等山崖上。洮石可以因材施艺,因色构图,其雕刻工艺和花色品种,从宋代以来一直在流传中逐步发展,不断创新,现有上百个品种,远销日本、东南亚等世界各地,是国际市场上享誉极高的珍品。
