1930年代左翼文学与中国共产党的革命实践有紧密联系,受到了马克思主义的启示。但30年代左翼文学更多是作家们出于像鲁迅所说的“目的都在工农大众”的“为政治”的写作,也是在广义的政治上、立足于政治“原点”之上的写作。它放射出来的真纯、与民众苦难保持深切联系的人性和人道光辉,以及在批判现实中奔涌出来的道德义愤,显示了“为政治”写作的精神风貌。
