调制特性是显象管重要的技术性能,它标志着电信号与光输出之间的转换关系,常用调制特性曲线来表征这种性能,如图1所示。曲线的横座标是调制极相对于阴极的电压差U_(MKo)纵座标应该是屏幕亮度B,由于黑白管着屏电流密度j(远小于10mA/cm~2)较小,此时B与j成正比例关系。另外,在显象管中,备电极截获的电子极少,故常用容易测量的阴极电流I_k来代替着屏电流,这就是纵座标采用I_k的原因。
