本文根据四十和五十年代的历史资料、黑潮调查资料、福建海岸带调查资料及渔场调查等实测资料,对台湾海峡及其邻近海区的水文要素,按四分之一度的经、纬度区域作多年月平均,进行了1~12月的0~200米水层(0、10、50、100、200米)的温度、盐度、密度、水色透明度等水文要素的水平和垂直分布的整理。绘制水平分布图112幅,垂直剖面图20幅。通过水文状况的空间分布和时间变化的分析,本海区主要受黑潮水、南海水和闽浙粤沿岸水等不同水系的消长和冬、夏交互作用季风的影响,构成了本海区水文状况的基本特点。同时展现了上述水系随月份而生、消的过程,对台湾海峡海区来说,春、冬、秋季受黑潮水的影响较大,受南海水影响较弱;春末和夏季则主要是受南海水和粤东沿岸永的影响,并有一少部分是黑潮水的影响;闽浙沿岸水的流势冬季大于夏季,最后进行了初步讨论。
