每年春天中超开赛前,海南和昆明就显得特别热闹,因为众多球队都选择在这里进行冬训,而在这里举行的一年一度的YOYO体测更是吸引了众多的媒体和球迷。由于牵涉到联赛报名资格的问题,自然人人如临大敌。1月19日,2008年度的体能测试在昆明海埂进行,共有深圳上清饮、河南建业、陕西宝荣、北京国安和青岛中能5支中超球队和中甲的上海群英队完成了体能测试。各队成绩普遍良好,在参加体测的127名球员中,共有21人未能通过体能测试。
