提起美国西部,人们可能很快会想起电影中的“牛仔”和印第安部落.到过美国西部的中国人也许会滔滔不绝地讲起赌城拉斯维加斯或美丽的加里弗尼亚,而险峻又宏伟的克罗拉多大峡谷,这个连美国人也很少光顾的地方,恐怕就更鲜为中国人涉足了.1989年夏天,笔者有幸随美国威斯康星州密尔沃基博物馆(Milwaukee Publie Museum)古生物采集队来到位于蒙大拿州境内大峡谷北部地区,进行为时20天的野外采集.这是一次难忘的经历,广袤的山川,险峻、奇特而壮观的地形地貌,
