自得其乐,是我画画的状态。一个人有什么样的状态,便有什么样的笔墨。八大出离了悲愤,于是有鄙睨天下的状态,笔下遂见白眼向天的孤冷同清傲。晚年的齐白石并晚年的毕加索,回归了赤子心,便朗朗一派天真,笔下的世界即是玻璃般透明。我又喜欢金农,喜欢关良,喜欢林风眠,这一路的状态,是自我的主观的审美的状态,笔墨呈现美,并且抒情。我观中外的绘事,大凡为自己画画的,一般都画得好,为别人来画的,失了自我,则等而下之。当然,凡事皆有例外,我所指是一般。
