More and more evidence shows that the quality of sleep may affect heart health, especially for women’s health. A recent U.S. study explains this phenomenon. Edward C Suarez, Ph.D., Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, chaired the study. The researchers conducted a survey of 210 healthy males and females, who had no previous clinical diagnosis of sleep disorders. The results showed that interviewed women, sleep quality is not high or difficult to sleep usually bear more psychological stress, blood composition is also more likely to show signs of type 2 diabetes. The relationship between sleep quality and physical health of interviewed men is not obvious. The researchers found that poor quality of sleep in women, some insomnia per week two nights, and some more than half an hour a night to fall asleep.
