This paper bases on image processing technology, putting forward the subtraction method of image to get object, projection method to segment panel buttons , redundant method of real-time detection of remote control panels automatically. In the first of projection method to segment buttons, the image edge is detected, followed by open computing optimization sensitive areas, through a partial final projection, we get the segmented corresponding buttons. The redundant real-time detection includes Translational, rotation and partial correction, to conduct remote control panel button automatic detection. Through the development of the actual system testing, it shows the proposed method simple, rapid, and that the wrong button or text panels are detected in high rate.
