主持人语:吴地自古以来就被称为“人文荟萃、文化发达”之地,吴地教育则有着更为鲜明的特点。在表现吴地教育的气质或者身份特征的时候,我们并不缺乏颂扬之辞,但我们更需要以学术精神去凸显它准确的内涵。前不久,在苏州市教育局举办的“透视苏州教育的历史和未来”论坛中,知名的教育史学者杜成宪教授概括了古代苏州的教育精神:“重仁”“崇文”“经世”“有容”。我深以为然。杜教授之见可推及至吴地教育,这是因为吴地是以苏州为核心的,今天研究苏州教育,也必然要将它置于吴文化的大背景中。

When expressing the temperament or identity characteristics of Wudi education, we do not lack the words of praise, but we also need to highlight the precise connotation of it with academic spirit. Not long ago, at the forum titled “Perspectives on the History and Future of Suzhou Education” held by the Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, Professor Du Chengxian, a well-known educational historian, summarized the educational spirit of ancient Suzhou: “Renren”, “Chongwen” “World ” “Have capacity ”. I take it for granted. Professor Du’s advice can be extended to Wu education, it is because Wu is Suzhou as the core, today’s study of Suzhou education, it is bound to put it in the context of Wu culture.
