The Louvre is one of the oldest, largest and most famous museums in the world and the oldest in France. Originally built in the 13th century, it was the castle of the French royal family at that time and served as the treasury and archives. In 1546, Pierre Lesko, the architect, rebuilt the Louvre at the commission of the King, rendering the palace a Renaissance style. Later, he experienced many times on behalf of the royal family to expand the expansion of the Louvre to Napoleon III when the overall construction can be considered completed. After experiencing the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, the Louvre Museum officially opened to the public in 1793.
