广东省文史研究馆编译的《鸦片战争史料选译》一书,已被评为一九八三年度广东省优秀社会科学成果之一,并获社会科学研究成果三等奖。该书收录的有关史料五十八篇,都是从鸦片战争时期在广州出版的英文期刊《Chinese Repository》(《中国丛报》)中选译出来的。收入该书的史料除一些是属于《中国丛报》的编者和作者因囿于成见或有意歪曲而值得探讨者外,其它都是在当时出现的,或则是中国
The book “Selective Translation of Historical Materials of the Opium War” compiled by the Guangdong Provincial Institute of History and Culture has been named one of the outstanding social sciences achievements of Guangdong Province in 1983 and won the third prize of social science research achievement. The book contains 58 pieces of related historical materials, all of which were translated from the English edition of the Chinese Repository published in Guangzhou during the Opium War. Except for some editors and authors who belong to the China Communities, the historical materials on which this book was booked are worth exploring because of their prejudices or intentional distortions, and others were then emerging from China or China
