(Shanghai: Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 2012 Edition) There are thousands of languages and hundreds of languages in the world. With a relatively long history and a short life, writing is an eternal thing. It decrypts the passing years of the world, Disappeared peoples. And the magic of the text goes far beyond this. It transforms the three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional images and converts the language signals into visual signals. As a result, human civilization has accelerated the process and productivity has continuously created a new era. History can be dusty, but the text opens the door to understanding for us. Reading Wang Yuanlu’s (2012) book “Wang Yuanlu’s General Literary and Comparative Linguistics Collection” not only brings us into the door of the word, but it also amazes us that so many words are full of vitality and vividness here.
