In order to explore the role of Na + K + ATPase, Ca2 +, Mg2 + ATPase in brain edema induced by 1,2 - dichloroethane (1,2 DCE), on the basis of replicating brain edema model, The changes of Na + K + ATPase, Ca2 +, Mg2 + ATPase activity in the brain tissue of the test animals. The results showed that the activity of Na + K + ATPase decreased gradually with the increase of dose, the highest dose group had significant difference compared with each group; the activity of Ca2 +, Mg2 + ATPase decreased significantly, compared with other groups P <0 0 5. The results suggest that: 1, 2 DCE caused by the decline of ATPase activity lead to energy metabolism disorders of brain tissue, which may cause “Ca2 + overload”, ATP enzyme activity decreased and “Ca2 + overload” may be the main cause of cerebral edema
