文中针对采煤机中常用渐开线花键联接20°压力角和齿数少的特点,分析了花键孔的插齿工艺性,指出在不可能完全避免切入顶切,干涉顶切和过渡曲线干涉的前提下,根据对切入顶切和干涉顶切的具体分析,提出了解决插齿工艺问题的理论根据和方法:适当减小花键孔的齿顶高,齿根高和插齿刀的齿顶高以达到插齿过程中免除切入顶切和过渡曲线干涉、减小并掌握其干涉顶切量。文中还提出了插齿刀设计中选择刀具齿数Z_g和变位系数(ζ_(gmaX)的根据和方法。列出了干涉顶切量和其它有关参数的综合曲线图表,可以使设计工作大为简化。文中提出的论据和方法也可以作为其它齿轮插齿刀设计的参考。
