MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of non-coding single-stranded RNA molecules of 18 to 24 nucleotides in length encoded by endogenous genes. MiRNAs are involved in a series of important processes in the life process, including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, individual development, body metabolism and immune regulation. So far, human miRNAs (about 50%) have been found to be located on the genome at the fragile sites of tumor-associated genes. According to the degree of pairing between the miRNA and the target gene, the mode of action of the miRNA and the target gene can be mainly divided into two types: complete pairing and incomplete pairing.
