In order to solve the chaotic international names, in 1960 the United Nations set up a group of geographical names. In the practice of researching and processing the standardization of geographical names, experts find that geographical names have unique cultural values. Many place names are formed by describing the history and culture of a certain area. They are reminding people of the changes in the local natural environment and the evolution of human history and are testimony to civilization. By the 1970s, topologists have further realized that place names have a heritage of history and culture.
