民国时期处在一个非常特殊的时期,中国的大门向世界敞开,西方外来文化涌入中国;同时民国时期也是我国的一个过渡时期,封建制度破除,逐步向近代社会过渡。这些趋势体现在设计上就出现了古—今、中—西相互交融的文化现象。因此,民国时期的设计文化一直都是值得我们关注和研究的。字体设计在民国时期得到了繁荣的发展,图案化、几何化和绘画手法及其特点,以及由此形成的西洋化和本土化共同构成了民国时期烟盒上字体设计的风格倾向。
During the period of the Republic of China, which was in a very special period, China’s door was open to the world and the western foreign cultures infiltrated China. At the same time, the Republic of China was also a transitional period of our country. The feudal system was broken down and the transition to modern society was gradually made. These trends are reflected in the design of the ancient - present, China - West cultural phenomenon of mutual blending. Therefore, the design culture of the Republic of China has always deserved our attention and research. The development of typography in the period of the Republic of China, its pattern, geometric and painting techniques and its characteristics, and the resulting westernization and localization together constituted the style tendencies of font design on the packets of the Republic of China.
