攀西地区处于扬子板块南部早古生代被动陆缘上近SN向的昆明-昭觉陆架裂陷带的北段。矿区区域上处在小江断裂、普格-宁南断裂与会理-宁南-金阳断裂形成的有利构造岩浆热液活动的三角形构造结。银厂沟-骑骡沟矿床位于骑骡沟倾伏背斜之西翼紧靠轴部,赋矿层位为震旦纪的灯影组上段(Zbd3)碳酸盐岩,其上覆地层为寒武纪的筇竹寺组泥质砂岩。矿区主要控矿断裂为北北西向及近南北向的张性断裂。
The Panxi area is located in the northern segment of the Kunming-Zhao’ao Shelf rift zone near the SN direction on the Early Paleozoic passive continental margin of the Yangtze Plate. On the mining area, there is a triangular structural knot of the favorable tectonomagmatic hydrothermal activity formed by the Xiaojiang fault, the Puge-Ningnan fault and the Huili-Ningnan-Jinyang fault. Yinchang Gully-Ruling Muleigou deposit lies on the west wing of the Muleou anticline, close to the shaft. The ore-bearing layer is the Zbd3 carbonate rock of the Sinian and the overlying strata is Cambrian Ji 筇 Zhu Temple group of muddy sandstone. The main ore-controlling faults in the mining area are north-west and near-north-north tensions.
