Objective: To investigate the etiology and preventive measures of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after gynecologic oncology in high altitude area. Methods: From 2005 to 2008, a total of 365 patients with gynecologic malignancies were admitted to our hospital. Of them, 46 cases were complicated with high altitude polycythemia, accounting for 12.6%. The youngest was 48 years old and the largest was 57 years old, with an average of 52.5 years old. Among them, 41 patients received radiotherapy or chemotherapy, and 324 patients underwent standard surgical treatment
