据报道,中国人每年在餐桌上浪费的粮食价值高达2000亿元,被倒掉的食物相当于2亿多人一年的口粮,餐桌上的浪费已非常严重。巨大的食物浪费还增加了生活垃圾量,对生活环境造成的危害也不轻,这与我们建设节约型、环境友好型社会是背道而驰的。制定、实施和贯彻节约型餐饮标准只是标准化在推动节约型餐饮的过程中的一个小小的助推器。如何用标准化的手段推动节约型餐饮的正向发展,是未来很长一个时期需要有标准化工作者去研究和推动的重要课题。
