1996年12月,在北京市教育委员会与北京地区高校图书馆工作委员会联合召开的“北京地区高校图书馆第二次工作会议”上,提出了北京地区高校图书馆工作跨世纪发展的奋斗目标和工作任务;即在图书馆管理自动化和信息网络化建设方面走在全国的前面,形成一个学科门类齐全的文献信息资源共享服务体系,以实现本地区文献资源的合理布局与有效利用。根据会议精神,我院应加快图书馆的自动化建设步伐,以求适应图书馆事业发展的需要。为此,本文对我院的图书馆信息管理系统的总体目标及其功能与内容作一初步探讨。 我院图书馆信息管理系统的总体目标是:以微机网络为基本条件,完成集成化的图书馆管理系统,建立图书馆局域网,并与院内校园网互联,以本馆馆藏文献资源为基础,按照国际、国家标准和北京地区高校图工委制定的著录标准建立学科文献数据库:加强同其它文献信息单位和系统的联系,加入“中国高等学校文献信息服务系统”,以形成教学及科研所需的良好的文
