灾情就是命令,灾区就是战场。为了降伏这场肆虐全国18个省、自治区、直辖市的特大洪涝灾害,人民解放军全军上下,特别是驻灾区部队的广大指战员,坚决执行党中央、国务院、中央军委的命令,在全国防汛总指挥部和当地党委、政府的统一指挥下,全力以赴投入抗洪救灾斗争。据不完全统计,至7月中旬,全军已出动兵力70多万人次,民兵预备役人员600余万人次,飞机24架次,车船1万多台(艘)次,抢救转移遇险群众10万多人次,抢救各种物资18万吨,为保护国家财产和人民群众的生命安全做出了突出贡献,谱写了一曲曲雄壮颂歌,赢得了灾区政府和人民群众的由衷赞叹。
