The famous English novelist Jane Austen’s mid-term Mansfield Manor has been controversial, and many senior Austin critics think this novel is a failure of the author’s transformational experiment. The focus of criticism is Fannie Price, the heroine in the story, which many think the character is too simplistic and ethical, with the result that teaching is more artistic than artistry. However, reading the text proves that Austin did not change her artistic style, and that Fannie’s central character’s ability to recognize and judge was gradually increased after many repetitions in his life time and space. In fact, this novel shows that Austin reached a new height in the pursuit of art in dialectical novels.
