当代文化社会学将文化与社会结构看作相互交织的实体,并赋予文化与开放的意义,从而构了一个控制—遵从(合作)—反抗的实践等级序列。在这个等级序列中,文化生产理论认为,用于生产文化符号因素的社会安排影响着被生产出来的文化因素的本质和内容,呈现在文化产品中的艺术事实上是在生产链条的各个环节中被权力层层建构与剥夺的艺术。文化接受理论则指出文化的接受由实践而来,具备一定的反抗性;但另一方面,消费市场却使消费者的批判意识退化为消费观念,从而削弱了大众文化促进民主的效用。
Contemporary sociology of culture treats cultural and social structures as intertwined entities and gives it the meaning of culture and openness, thus constituting a sequence of levels of practice of control-compliance (cooperation) -reaction. In this hierarchy, cultural production theory holds that the social arrangements for the production of cultural symbols influence the nature and content of the cultural elements being produced. The art presented in cultural products is, in fact, in all aspects of the production chain The art of construction and deprivation by layers of authority. Cultural acceptance theory points out that cultural acceptance comes from practice and has certain resistance. On the other hand, consumer market degenerates consumer’s critical consciousness into consumption concept, thus weakening the effectiveness of mass culture in promoting democracy.
