In this paper, the content of trace elements (Zn, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Cr, Mo, V, Se, Al) in 700 hair of pastoral and urban healthy children, adults and seniors in Inner Mongolia was investigated. They are studied in terms of health, disease, aging and others. The results showed that the herdsman Zn content is generally higher than urban residents. However, elemental urban residents such as Fe, Co, Ni, Cr, Mo, V, Se and Al are generally higher than pastoralists. Moreover, pastoralists suffer from cardiovascular diseases and neurological diseases more than urban residents and have short average life expectancy. This may be related to the lack of a variety of essential micronutrients. The reason is that the pastoral dietary structure is irrational, intake of nutrients is not complete, the proportion of imbalances.
