BAU and BLAU are designed to focus more on the materiality or physicality of the city’s activities (Martin Heidelberg) than those that meet appropriate functional, social and environmental performance. The form of the city and the material that constitutes it are seen as interrelated and influential. The form not only indicates the spatial form of the future, but also the designer’s interpretation and the method of creating architecture. At a deeper level, the technique often stems from ingenious ingenuity, especially in response to some major factor, or emphasis on a particular form of character or “entity.” In all these respects, BAU and BLAU’s urban design contains at least five major characteristics.
