Objective: To study the skin irritation and allergenicity of paint leaves on animals. Methods: Fresh lacquer leaves (without leaf shaft) were harvested and crushed. The leaves of lacquer were made into paste by distilled water at room temperature. The ratio of leaf to water was 1: 1. Skin irritation test: 6 New Zealand purebred rabbits, after skin preparation (3 cm × 3 cm) on both sides of the spine, 1.0 g of the leaf gum paste was applied on the left skin. After covering for 4 hours and washing, the right skin was coated with 0.5 ml of distilled water as comparison. After cleaning 1,24,48,72 h observe the application area of the paint leaf laccase reaction and score. Skin sensitization test: 50 guinea pigs were divided into experimental group (20 males and females), positive control group (20 males and females) and negative control group (10 males and females). Spine on both sides of the skin (2cm × 2cm). At the beginning of the experiment and on the 7th and 14th days, 0.8g of leaf gum was coated on the left side of the back of the experimental group and 0.2g of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene in the positive control group. The negative control group was coated with distilled water 0.4ml, were covered after 6h cleaning; experimental day 28, the experimental group and the negative control group guinea pigs on the left side of the preparation skin coated with 0.8g leaf gum, the positive control group coated with 1.0% 2,4-dinitro chloride Benzene 0.2g, after 6h cover cleaning. After 24, 48h were calculated sensitization rate, to determine the degree of sensitization. Result: Skin irritation test: Three rabbits showed erythema on the skin after the application of La leaf gum, the average score was 0.67 (24h), and the degree of irritation was mild. Skin sensitization test: In experimental group and negative control group, all guinea pigs did not show erythema, edema and other reactions at 24 and 48h after application of leaf gum pasteurized. The sensitivities were 0 and the sensitization rate was 0 weak. In the positive control group, erythema and edema occurred in guinea pigs, and the average score of skin allergic reaction at 48h was 3.65, the sensitization rate was 100% and the sensitization degree was extremely strong. CONCLUSION: Lacquered leaves are slightly irritating to the skin of experimental animals without allergenicity.
