作者研究了河南产黄柏(Phellodendron amunrense Rupr.)經不同方法炮制后小蘗硷含量的变化。将样品用95%酒精迴流提尽小蘗硷后,取該提取液以Ⅲ級中性氧化鋁为吸附剂,以正丁醇-醋酸(10:1)为推进剂,于层析缸中20°斜角进行薄层层析,一小时后即可将小蘗硷分离,于紫外光下,以純硫酸小蘗硷作对照,分取亮黄色的小蘗硷斑点的氧化鋁,用1N硫酸溶液洗脫,用460微毫米滤光板进行比色测定,結果以硫酸小蘗硷計,生黄柏、盐黄柏、酒黄柏和黃柏炭的百分含量分別为1.65、1.53、1.46、0.31。
