In this paper, the logical structure of a microprocessor is described. It is a microprogrammed machine, being controlled by a set of microinstructions stored in a Read only memory. Each microinstruction, consisting of 36 bits, are composed of ten segments, among which, six segments, after being decoded, are used to control the arithmetic unit, the control unit, the magnetic core and the channels respectively, while the remaining ones are used to specify the address of the next instruction. Microprocessors of this type are suitable to be installed in a laboratory or some industrial automatic control system and used for data sampling and processing. Being connected with some chemical or physical instruments, it is capable of automatic data sampling and processing with results being printed out in tabular forms by a small scale printer. The automatic coding and simulation of the microprograms are accomplished on a medium scale computer.
