目前精密动力齿轮多采用特种合金钢制造,这类齿轮中大多数要经过热处理淬火工序。热处理淬硬过程会产生难以完全控制的变形。例如用18CrMnTi材料制造齿轮时,在渗碳与淬火过程中因变形显著地增大了齿轮与齿向误差和跳动量。修整淬硬齿轮的上述误差、刻痕和毛刺,以提高精度是一项重要而困难的工序。虽然磨削齿轮是最有效的修整方法,但由于设备投资大和磨削工时长,经济上是不可取的。若采用通常的珩齿法(用含磨料的环氧树脂珩轮或碳化钨珩轮),不能有效地修整上述误差和缺陷。目前,国外开始采用金钢石珩轮来修整上述误差和缺陷。这种修整法比磨齿的效率要高得多,是一种有效的,值得推广的精整齿轮新工艺,现介绍如下。
