一、从《灯塔看守人》说起最近,在重读显克微支的《灯塔看守人》时,我的思想与情感一下子被某种神奇的东西点燃起来。这种神奇的东西就是语言。当然,我指的并不是小说的叙述语言,而是某种雄居于叙述之上的东西。《灯塔看守人》讲述的是这样一个故事:一个名叫史卡汶思基的波兰老人,因为厌倦流浪生活,因为希望给自己漂泊的生命找到一处避风的港口,仅仅出于“需要休息”的目的继任成了类似于“隐居苦修者”的灯塔看守人。史卡汶思基已经七十多岁了,是个饱经风霜的老人:他曾经做过金矿工,当过雇佣兵,经营过牧场,开设过铸铁厂;又做过水手,当过渔师,开过雪茄厂;他曾经独自一人架着木筏在亚马逊河上漂流,而木筏被礁石撞碎了;他还曾孑然一身,手无寸铁,几乎是赤身裸体地在大森林里流浪了好几个星期……由
