五、病毒接种物的生产和释放。虽然越来越多的对病毒颗拉感染敏感的昆虫细胞系正在利用起来,但实际上一切杆状病毒都可以在昆虫幼虫中生产。在人工饲料上繁殖幼虫大大简化了病毒的大量生产。当自然流行病发生时,可在田间收集患病幼虫。但是,如前所述,对于这些材料必须给予极好的处理,特别是明确鉴定过的杆状病毒的分离和纯化。使用自然的叶子饲养昆虫幼虫会产生它自己的问题,就是叶子可能会被其它的病毒所污染,病毒的连续生产机会将会减少。
Fifth, the virus inoculum production and release. While more and more insect cell lines susceptible to viral infections are being exploited, virtually all baculoviruses can be produced in insect larvae. The propagation of larvae on artificial feeds greatly simplifies the mass production of the virus. When a natural epidemic occurs, diseased larvae can be collected in the field. However, as mentioned above, excellent handling of these materials must be given, especially for the well-characterized isolation and purification of baculoviruses. The use of natural leaves to feed insect larvae has its own problem, that leaves may be contaminated with other viruses and that the chances of continuous production of the virus will diminish.
